If you’d like to play a fast-paced summer sport on Saturday afternoons that only takes a couple of hours, with multiple batting opportunities and brief sessions in the field… then Baseball with the Feds could be right for you!
Federal Baseball Club are holding come and try / pre-season light training days until start of season on Sunday afternoons from 21st August, at Blue Lake Sports Park on Diamond 5, Mt Gambier, from 2pm until around 3:30pm.
Mount Gambier & Districts Baseball League Season starts on the Saturday 8th October, and carries on through March. Junior games take around 80-90 minutes, plus a pre-game warm-up.
Training for all Federal Baseball Teams will be held on Thursday afternoons at Blue Lake Sports Park, and games are usually played on Saturday late morning to afternoons.
Junior equipment and playing top are issued to players for the whole season upon providing a security deposit. Purchase own cap, socks, groin protection and baseball pants. Alternatively find pants and equipment in out Buy, Swap, Sell group. Junior players may be eligible for $100 Sports Voucher from the State Government, for students up to Year 9.
